The Resemblance of Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (p) to Lady Khadijah al-Kubra (p)

Dear companions of the Misbah channel, during the luminous days of the birth of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), stay with us for a special edition on the resemblance of Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (peace be upon her) to Lady Khadijah al-Kubra (peace be upon her).

The luminous words of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) at the time of the birth and naming of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), on her resemblance to Lady Khadijah al-Kubra (peace be upon her):

It is narrated that when Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) was born, Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet and said:

O Messenger of God! The Almighty has granted your daughter a girl; please designate her name.

The Prophet said:

Although the children of Fatimah are my own offspring, their matter rests with the Lord of the worlds, and I am awaiting revelation.

At that moment Gabriel descended and said:

O Messenger of God! The Almighty sends you greetings and says: name this newborn "Zaynab," for we have written it in the Preserved Tablet.

The Seal of the Prophets (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) called for the swaddled newborn, pressed her to his chest, kissed her, and named her Zaynab. Then he said:

I enjoin those present and those absent among the Ummah to honor and respect this girl. Indeed, she is like Khadijah al-Kubra.
