The Series of Al-Kawthar — Part 4
Part 4
In the previous discussion, it was explained that Lady Fatima al-Zahra is a houri who manifested in human form; and whatever we are unable to articulate regarding the gnosis (ma'rifah) of Lady Siddiqah al-Kubra is only the very beginning of Fatimi gnosis.
It is narrated that the Holy Prophet addressed Aisha, saying:
Fatima is my paradise; whenever I yearn for the fragrance of paradise, I smell the fragrance of my daughter Fatima.
Yet this is not the paradise of those of us who are made of dust; rather, it is the paradise of a Prophet from one of whose lights the Divine Throne (al-'Arsh) was created.
How long must Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) be presented solely within the bounds of hijab, housekeeping, and being a spouse? These are descriptions possessed by many ordinary women as well; so what is our distinction from her?
Speaking of the profound truths (ma'arif) of divine guardianship (wilayah) and the sacred sanctity (namus) of God is something not every heart can digest; for bearing the burden of wilayah is arduous.
Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) states:
Indeed, our affair is difficult and deemed burdensome; none can bear it except an archangel brought near, a sent messenger prophet, or a believer whose heart Allah has tested for faith.
💎 Therefore, not everyone can carry these profound teachings. Lady Fatima is the “Mother of the Imams and the Righteous” (Umm al-A'immah wa al-Abrar); إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ كَنِسَاءِ الآدَمِيِّينَ—she is not like ordinary human women. She is not like the women of mankind…
